Kerala State Muslim Orphanages' Co-Ordination Committee
It is a voluntary organization consortium by the Muslim Orphanages'
in Kerala established during the year 1983 for the welfare of orphans
and their rehabilitation. Since its formation,
it has been organizing a wide variety of programmes to promote innate
talents of orphans, to instill confidence in them to face the new
challenges and to offer timely guidance and support for their higher
education and rehabilitation. Workshops and seminars with the aim of
strengthening the administrative skills of the staff and management
also are periodically conducted. It draws the attention of the authorities
to the issues in project of heigher education, a college -
Muslim Orphanages' College of Arts and Science - is being run by the
committee at Cheruvatta, Near Moozhikkal of Kozhikode District.
The organization also was able to receive funds from IIRO for welfare of
the orphans and destitute among the member orphanages.
Adv. PV Sainudheen, Adv. M Muhammed and E.P. Imbichikoya were at the
helm of affairs and leading the committee in their capacity as President,
General Secretary and Treasurer respectively
